AceShowbiz -Rappers Remy Ma and Safaree Samuels have been hit with a lawsuit over a derailed charity concert.

The hip-hop stars signed contracts to perform at a benefit for The Circle Foundation, which mentors youths in the Chicago area, at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois on 21 April 2018, and their deal included a “performance exclusivity” clause which banned them from performing within 60 miles of the venue for 30 days before the concert.

According to legal documents obtained by, the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” stars agreed to the terms and signed the deal, with Remy receiving a $35,000 deposit payment and Safaree getting $7,250. The Circle Foundation representatives claim they were forced to cancel their fundraiser as a result. They allegedly asked the rappers to return their deposits but had no response, so they are now suing to get the money back, as well as damages.

Remy’s attorney Eric Sanders has told that the 38-year-old is “unaware of any purported legal action filed but, if such action is initiated she will respond accordingly.”
