Yas Waterworld has been named the best water park of 2018 at the World Travel Awards, and it’s not difficult to see why.
The impressive theme park boasts over 40 rides, slides and attractions to suit every age as well as thrill-seeking levels.
Located in Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld offers large lazy rivers where you can soak up the sun, adrenaline-inducing racing slides, surfing simulators, wave pools and even rollercoasters with water cannon features.
Highlights include the Bandit Bomber, the Middle East’s longest suspended rollercoaster, as well as the Liwa Loop, a high-intensity looping waterslide which begins with a terrifying vertical drop.
Meanwhile, there are dedicated areas for toddlers, as well as classes where you can learn to be a proper mermaid!
Then there’s 5D water adventure Cinesplash, where the entire cinema floods with water up to your knees as you go on a quest to uncover myths and legends, alongside special effects from waterfalls to moving seats and more surprises in store.
Day tickets start from AED 250, approximately £53.35pp. You can also find out more on the Yas Waterworld Instagram.
If you are considering a city break to Abu Dhabi with the kids, there are plenty more brilliant parks alongside Yas Waterworld sure to be a hit.
