Harry Potter Studios Tour is getting a huge new attraction and fans will love it

Harry Potter fans, it’s time to gather all of your galleons, sickles and knuts; Gringotts is coming to the UK!

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is bringing the original set of Gringotts Wizarding Bank in a new permanent attraction, which will span 16,500 sq ft and offer up a whole host of magical features.

Muggles, wizards and witches will be able to make their way through the iconic banking hall with its towering marble pillars and crystal chandeliers, just like stars like Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson did during filming.

But it’s not just the banking hall that’s on offer.

You’ll also get to enter the Lestrange vault which will be filled with treasures and props including the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup!

Pass through a gallery of goblins hard at work, and get a sneak peek at the costumes and prosthetics used to create the magical beings.

Each prosthetic mask took weeks to create, with every hair individually inserted and veins painstakingly painted by hand.

There’ll be plenty of backstage tidbits too – such as the fact that it took FOUR HOURS to transform Warwick Davis into goblin Griphook in the films.

Of course there’ll be plenty more new behind-the-scenes secrets to discover, including close-ups of props such as the inkwells, quills, ledgers and piles of Galleons, Sickles and Knuts (the prop department created over 210,000 coins for the final two films alone!).

As well as the epic new bank expansion, the Studio Tour will also be unveiling a brand new lobby and café, serving up a menu inspired by the foodie treats in the Wizarding World.

The Gringotts Wizarding Bank will open to visitors from Saturday 6th April 2019 but tickets are already on sale on the website, as it will be included in the general admission price. (Adult tickets from £43, child tickets from £35).
