Incredible city snaps from National Geographic's Travel Photographer of the Year contest show beauty is not confined to nature

But an incredible collection of entries from this year's National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year contest prove beauty can be found in even the busiest of places.

The contest, which closes for entries tomorrow, will award $10,000 and a feature on the National Geographic Travel Instagram to the overall winner.

Eligible contestants can submit their best photos in any of the three categories: Nature, People and Cities.

Entries in this year's city category are some of the most eye-popping to have been shared with the public so far.
They include the view from behind the Hollywood sign in LA, the light traces of cars in Kyoto and the Village of Rainbow in Hong Kong.
