It was originally built in 1921 by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff, a naval architect who designed six America’s Cup defending yachts and whose designs are are known for balancing style and scientific engineering.
The vessel, which comes fully staffed with a captain, two crew members, and two servers, sets sail for a two-hour journey into New York Harbor from Tribeca’s North Cove Marina (adjacent to Westfield World Trade Center). The route offers breathtaking views of the lower Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
Along the way, you can enjoy Côtes de Provence rosé and light bites like tuna tartare crostini, spiced chicken samosas with cilantro yogurt, oysters on the half shell, and colorful crudité from a menu created by The Mark’s resident chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who is himself an avid sailor.
The Mark Sailboat can accommodate up to 25 guest, making it the perfect venue for an intimate open air wedding. For those looking to take the plunge, The Mark’s Wedding Officiant can be brought on board for an unforgettable ceremony on the water.
