SEVEN Greek islands have been placed onto the quarantine list for England, in place from tomorrow.
Wales has already enforced similar measures, along with Scotland, with more than 60,000 Brits facing a rush back to the UK tonight.
If travelling to and from England, the islands facing quarantine restrictions from tomorrow are Zante, Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, Lesvos, Tinos and Serifos.
If travelling to and from Wales, the islands already on the Welsh quarantine list are Mykonos, Zante, Lesvos, Paros, Antiparos and Crete.
Any holiday to Greece from Scotland will result in a two-week quarantine back in the country.
Thankfully, there are still some islands you can head to for a holiday which are not on the quarantine list for England and Wales.
Caution is advised if booking far in advance however – the travel advice can change at the last minute.
One of the most popular holiday islands to remain on the safe list for now, Corfu, Kavos has become a favourite of young British party-goers.
The rest of the island is great for a quieter holiday, and there are a number of cheap package holidays, while easyJet and Ryanair fly directly to the island.
There are some restrictions in place on the island, such as a curfew for bars and nightclubs between midnight and 7am.
Rhodes, located northeast of Crete and southeast of Athens, is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Colossus of Rhodes.
The majority of UK airlines fly to Rhodes, and there are many cheap package holiday deals too – some hotels have even slashed prices as low as £11 a night.
Rhodes bars and nightclubs must also close between midnight and 7am.
Many visit Skiathos for the night-life, with clubs and bars along the beachfront.
There are more than 60 beaches across the island, with direct flights from the UK with Jet2.
You can also get a ferry from the island over to Skopelos – both of the islands were where Mamma Mia was filmed.
Kefalonia is one of the six largest islands in Greece, along with Crete and Rhodes
The island also has some of the best secret beaches where you won't bump into many other tourists.
Cheap flights and holiday packages run from the UK to the island with TUI, easyJet and Ryanair.
Tourism is the main industry for Kos, with the resort of Kardamena popular with British holidaymakers
EasyJet, Jet2 and British Airways all fly directly to the island, while TUI have package holiday deals.
Kos bars and restaurants must also close between midnight and 7am.
Regional air bridges hope to allow Brits to still travel to countries on holiday, instead of enforcing country-wide quarantine restrictions.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps explained: "Through the use of enhanced data we will now be able to pinpoint risk in some of the most popular islands, providing increased flexibility to add or remove them – distinct from the mainland – as infection rates change.
“This development will help boost the UK’s travel industry while continuing to maintain maximum protection to public health, keeping the travelling public safe.”
