A village's book sharing kiosk has been filled with porn leading to an angry note left for the culprits.
The all-caps message left on the Little Free Library in Cornholme, West Yorkshire, read: "Whoever is placing the copies of pornographic literature in here, stop!
"Cornholme is a good God-fearing Christian village. If this is to your liking may we suggest that you move to the cesspit that is Hebden Bridge."
A photo of the typed-out notice was tweeted on Thursday and has been shared more than 3,000 times.
Mancunian artist Jane Samuels, who shared the photo and another of the kiosk, wrote: "Controversy at Todmorden's little free libraries.
"They're lovely though, right? We have a whole bunch of these all over the town now. Remember to support local independent book shops too though!)."
She added: "FYI, I'm not convinced this isn't a joke (we also had a fake McDonald's and some very funny blue plaques about the place for a while).
"Do you reckon it's genuine or a joke? I can't decide and we had all those blue plaques…
"Its certainly there. Maybe a joke though, we get lots of joke signs in Tod."

And Laura Bennett added: "Would love to live in Hebden Bridge – highest number of lesbians per head of population in UK – we are relatively rare species and unfortunately experience quite a lot of negativity."
Jane replied: "Here in Todmorden we also have the big Lesbian Disco, but don't tell whoever wrote the note!"
