Boulder County law enforcement agencies are conducting a police operation near downtown Superior.
The town released an email that only said there was “ongoing police activity” in the area.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, which handles policing for Superior, has not yet released any information about road closures or evacuations.
The Boulder Valley School District said it was monitoring the situation and that the incident was not impacting any schools at this time.
Police radio traffic indicated the initial call was a weapons complaint.
