A South American popstar and a guest at the World Cup has been robbed of £600,000 worth of jewllery at a luxurious Moscow hotel.
Juan Luis Londono Arias, 24, known by his stage name Maluma, was staying at the Four Seasons Hotel next to the Kremlin and Red Square.
An intruder stole valuables including a Louis Vuitton bag, 11 luxury watches, various items of Cartier jewellery and 10 glasses studded with diamonds and pearls.
Maluma, who is one of the biggest names in Latin music, is in Russia to watch the World Cup.
Moscow police opened an investigation into suspected theft on Tuesday, both RBC and Interfax said, quoting a source as saying he had been staying at the Four Seasons Hotel near the Kremlin.
A spokeswoman for the hotel gave no details of the incident but said an investigation was underway.

The theft is a major embarrassment in a five star hotel next to the Kremlin and Red Square famed for its tight security.
Among the missing jewellery are watches worth £53,000 and three necklaces decorated with pink gold and diamonds valued at £27,500.
Maluma has 33.4 million subscribers on Instagram, and has performed with Shakira and US rapper Puff Diddy.

Barulich, born in California to parents from Croatia and Cuba, has appeared on the covers of Maxim, esquire and L’Officiel.
The theft was revealed as Colombia was defeated 2-1 defeat by Japan tonight.
But reports suggested it had taken place much earlier, on 14 June.
The initial report on the theft from Mash Telegram news channel – which boasts close links to law enforcement – indicated the thieves had not been apprehended.
The Four Seasons was originally called the Moscow Hotel, partly designed by Stalin.
It was demolished in 2004 but a replica was opened in 2012.
Among the stolen items was a pink gold Cartier bracelet worth £9,115 – and a Nintendo cable valued at £35.
