Dad takes 9-year-old son to Hooters as ‘reward’ for good school report

A nine-year-old lad who recently earned a good school report was taken to Hooters by his old man as a reward.

Buddy Edwards, from Liverpool, got the trip of a lifetime from his dad Paul, 36, took his lad down to the city’s new Hooters outlet to celebrate the family’s success.

Famous for its burgers, beers and scantily dressed young women, the venue isn’t the stereotypical destination for a child who will remain as such for the next nine years.

Liverpool is the second city in the UK, alongside Nottingham, to get one of the famous US dining spots.

Dad Paul said Buddy didn’t think Hooters was real, he told LadBible, and so took him there to prove it actually existed.

With his mother's blessing, who was reportedly relaxed about the prospect, the duo headed down to see what it was all about.

He said: "We went to hooters as a reward for Buddy getting great report in school.

"He always thought it was fake, so when one opened up in Liverpool, I surprised him with a visit.

"He was a bit shy at first but then he loved it – the staff were great and so helpful, and the food was beautiful.

Discussing Buddy’s mother’s approach to the unusual day out, Paul told the publication: “She was cool.

"She even dropped us off."

"[Buddy] said he wants to go and watch England v USA on Friday (25 November)."

The young boy told LadBible: “I want to come here every week for a dad and lad night. The food's great!"
