Taking your dog to the groomers always runs the small risk of them returning looking completely different – for better or worse.
There have been countless fails recently of pooches coming back home and looking anything from a “raw chicken” to a pop legend.
But for one dog owner, there was quite a simple reason why their dog looked different – it wasn’t theirs.
Posting a before-and-after photo in a viral video on TikTok, the owner described how she sent her dad to pick up her dog Gucci from the groomers only for him to return with someone else’s pet.
“My dad is NEVER picking him up from grooming again,” the caption read.
The clip also showed a WhatsApp conversation the fuming dog owner had with her dad.
After he sent a picture of the wrong pooch, she replied: “That’s not Gucci.”
With no immediate response, she sent another quick response of: “That’s not him.”
The video has been seen more than 6 million times since it was shared, racking up thousands of comments in the process.

One viewer wrote: “It went from Gucci to Wish.”
“That’s not Gucci, that’s a knock off,” another joked.
A third added: “Went from Gucci to Walmart.”
Another commented: “Now you got knock off Gucci like the rest of us.”
Others expressed their shock and were questioning whether or not the owner managed to get her dog back.
Thankfully, the owner posted a follow up to the video to inform her followers that she managed to get Gucci back.
It comes after a Labrador's horrified reaction to tasting sparkling water for the first time left viewers in fits of laughter.
Meanwhile, a dog was seen "holding back her tears" after her owner's dodgy haircut left her looking like a "different breed".
