This is the shocking moment a driver was seemingly caught on camera watching YouTube videos at the wheel.

Mike Mclellan, 33, had pulled up behind the silver Vauxhall along a residential street in Blackpool as he made his way back from doing a food shop.

The dashcam footage shows Mike beeping his horn at the driver, who appears to be distracted by videos playing on her mobile phone, after she fails to pull away from the junction.

In the clip, recorded in the afternoon of February 4, the Vauxhall can be seen sitting at the junction waiting for the traffic lights to change.

But the female driver does not seem to notice that they have turned green as Mike shouts: ‘Are you watching YouTube on your phone?’

Mike starts to roll his car forward and is forced to beep his horn to alert the Vauxhall driver that the lights have changed.

The disgruntled female driver then sticks up her middle finger up at Mike before she finally pulls away.

The father-of three told MailOnline: ‘I couldn’t make out what she was watching – but I could make out was it was the YouTube app.

‘And when I zoomed in on the video after I got home it was clear it was a video of some kind.

‘She wasn’t paying attention and I had to beep my horn to get her to move.

‘She didn’t even close the video as she drove off after the lovely hand gesture I received.’

Mike is currently a stay at home dad as his fiancee works full time as well as studying at the university.

He continued: ‘It was a residential street and I do believe that she could have been a danger to people as she was clearly distracted.’

Speaking about his reaction, Mike said: ‘I was both shocked and annoyed to be honest.

‘Shocked that she was watching the video and then annoyed she stuck her middle finger up at me.’
