Ex-cop father-in-law ‘mastermind’ of murder and dismemberment of son’s model ex

The ex-father-in-law of a model and influener is accused of being the mastermind behind her horrific murder and dismemberment.

Body parts of Abby Choi were found in her ex-husband's cooking pot and his parents' fridge in Hong Kong, two days after she was reported missing on Wednesday (February 23).

Four suspects have been arrested with murder including Choi's ex-husband, Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, and their father, Kwong Kau, 65, following the horror discoveries.

Choi, who had a reported net worth of around HK$100million (£11million), hailed from a wealthy family with business interests in China.

She is thought to have arranged for her former in-laws and two children to live in a luxury apartment and helped her former brother-in-law get on the property ladder.

Police say Kwong's father, himself a former cop, was the brains behind the "meticulously planned" murder which involved industrial tools such as a meat slicer and an electric saw.

It is alleged Kwong became enraged over Choi's attempted sale of an apartment worth around £7.7million registered in his name.

The grisly details of the alleged murder have stunned the city.

What is believed to be Abby's skull was found stored inside a cooking pot alongside several ribs and human hair.

Superintendent on the scene Alan Chung said: "There's a hole on the right side rear on the skull, so the pathologist believes that that should be the fatal attack on the victim.”

Chung also said that pathologists found loose human bones on the premises.

Police said they suspect Choi was attacked in a car and was unconscious when she arrived at the premises.

They also said they have so far been unable to locate missing body parts of hers, including her torso and hands.

Choi was a model and influencer who documented her glam life to some 100,000 Instagram followers and had returned from a Dior show at Paris Fashion Week.
