Father of two jihadis who died fighting in Syria has been jailed for threatening his wife if she testified against him

Ex-mosque leader Abubaker Deghayes, 50, was found not guilty of dislocating her shoulder by a jury who were unaware of his threats against her.

But yesterday he was convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice at London’s Blackfriars crown court and jailed for 18 months.

Father of six Deghayes, who lives with his mother in Brighton, arrived in Britain from Libya in 1991.

Three of Deghayes’s UK-born sons went to Syria to fight.

Two others are serving prison sentences for drug dealing.
