EXCLUSIVE: Flo Rida refuses to meet his 19-month-old son who suffers from a rare brain disease and calls him an ‘evil f***ing child,’ boy’s mother claims as she demands the rapper give them more support
- Alexis Adams, 34, told DailyMail.com that Flo Rida – whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard – initially denied that 19-month-old Zohar Paxton was his son
- She said he turned his back on the baby when she brought him to a medical center for a paternity test
- A DNA test revealed a 99.9 per cent match that Flo Rida was the child’s father
- Zohar has hydrocephalus, a neurological condition which causes an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities in the brain
- Since birth, Zohar has had numerous doctors’ appointments, tests and ultrasounds for the incurable condition
- Last month, he underwent brain surgery – but there was no visit or phone call from his father, Alexis said
- Flo Rida is, however, covering his son’s medical insurance and provides an undisclosed amount of child support each month
The mother of Flo Rida’s son has revealed the rapper refuses to meet his toddler, who suffers from a rare brain disorder, and called him an ‘evil f**king child’.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Alexis Adams, 34, said the music star initially denied that 19-month-old Zohar Paxton was his son and turned his back on the baby when she brought him to a medical center for a paternity test.
A DNA test revealed a 99.9 per cent match that Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, was the child’s father.
Alexis said: ‘Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on and his back turned. They were in the same room. He didn’t try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold.’
Although the rapper is covering his son’s medical insurance and provides an undisclosed amount of child support each month, Alexis’ legal battle with Flo Rida is ongoing because ‘she does not feel the support is enough for a special needs child’, according to her attorney.

Although symptoms vary, they can include the abnormal enlargement of a baby’s head, nausea, vomiting, headache and vision problems. Since birth, Zohar has had numerous doctors’ appointments, tests and ultrasounds for the incurable condition.
Last month, he underwent brain surgery – but there was no visit or phone call from his father, Alexis said.
‘Even after Zohar’s surgery, he hasn’t reached out to find out if he’s okay,’ she said. ‘I find it strange because Flo Rida is always involved in charities pertaining to kids.
‘Being a single mom going to a lot of doctor’s appointments and not knowing what else your son might need is heart-breaking.’
Alexis met the Grammy-nominated artist, who is worth an estimated $30 million, in 2015 on the West Coast but would not disclose the details of their meeting.
‘We were friends at first, very casual,’ she recalled. ‘He traveled a lot and I was on the West Coast, he lived on the East Coast.
‘We were getting to know each other. That’s how our relationship was in the beginning.
‘We became romantically involved at the end of the year. We were just dating, it wasn’t exclusive, not at that time, but we did do intimate things together.
‘It went on until I discovered I was pregnant in 2016.’
The Florida-born rapper, 38, who has worked with Lady Gaga, Kesha and DJ Khaled among many others, did not respond well to the news that Alexis was expecting a child.
She said: ‘I was in shock when I found out I was pregnant and I was nervous because I was about to be a mom.
‘I told him right away. I kind of made a joke about it, saying, “Why didn’t you tell me that you spilt milk?” And he said, “What do you mean?”

‘I said, “There is something missing from my body like a period – I’m pregnant”. After that he just said it was “a lot” and got off the phone fast.’
The relationship quickly deteriorated, according to Alexis, who claims that Flo Rida put pressure on her to have an abortion and sent vile insults about her unborn child.
‘It caught me off-guard. I was pregnant and hormonal – one minute happy, then sad. You want support. You don’t know what to think when you’re pregnant and someone’s like that,’ she said.
‘He called my baby “an evil f***ing child”. Those were his exact words.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to Flo Rida for comment.
Alexis, who now lives in her hometown of New York, claims that she and Flo Rida only spoke a few times early in her pregnancy and then she lost contact with him.
‘In my second trimester, we spoke briefly and after that we lost communication. That’s why I finally got an attorney and I let them handle it,’ she said. ‘I got an attorney was because of the lack of communication with him and the disrespect.’
Around that time, Alexis also discovered that she was having a high-risk pregnancy.
‘I was in my second trimester and I noticed the doctor looking at the sonogram differently. They noticed that the baby had water on the brain and diagnosed him with hydrocephalus,’ she said.
She described the remaining months of her pregnancy as extremely stressful.
‘When you are high-risk it’s not like a normal pregnancy,’ Alexis said. ‘They check you every two weeks, it’s a full exam on the baby and then you speak with counselors.
‘They tell you all the things that can go wrong – he might need surgery as soon as you give birth, he might need a helmet, a shunt. You really don’t know until the baby is born.’

Alexis attended most of the appointments alone and found herself increasingly isolated as she struggled to explain to family and friends about the absence of her baby’s father.
She said: ‘I felt alienated. People wanted to know, “Where is the father? Why’s he not supporting? Why’s he not involved?” I didn’t want to get caught off-guard.
‘It was very stressful. No one in my family knew until my third trimester and I started showing.’
Alexis had wanted to give birth alone but her mother and aunts insisted on being by her side.
By the time she gave birth, she was only communicating with Flo Rida through attorneys and there was no suggestion that he would be in the delivery room.
Alexis broke down as she shared the life-threatening ordeal that she and her son went through.
She said: ‘I didn’t think that my baby was going to make it. I tried not to get an attachment.
‘When he first came out, he didn’t cry so we were all nervous. I was losing so much blood and they took him away from me.
‘I remember a lot of doctors, lights, alarms going off. My aunts and mom were staring at me. They told me later they had never seen so much blood.
‘I lost three times the amount of blood [than normal] and suffered from a stressed hip nerve. I had to relearn how to walk. They kept me [in hospital] for eight days.’
Alexis said that she and Flo Rida were romantically involved but were not exclusive. She said that the rapper did not respond well to the news that she was pregnant
Prior to Zohar’s birth in September 2016, no arrangement regarding child support had been reached with Flo Rida.
Alexis’ lawyers advised her to let the rapper know that his son had been born via text message.
‘He didn’t respond,’ she said. ‘Flo Rida was aware of how high-risk my pregnancy was and he is entirely aware of Zohar’s condition. He does not want any involvement.’
Alexis also claims that none of Flo Rida’s large family – the rapper has seven sisters – have tried to build a relationship with their nephew.
‘None of Flo Rida’s family has reached out to check on Zohar at all – not at Christmas, New Year or his birthday. No one has expressed any kind of concern. I believe they couldn’t care less.’
She added: ‘It would be nice to have some type of co-parenting but you just make it work, you deal with it.’
During Zohar’s difficult early months, Alexis was drawn into a legal battle to get child support and health insurance coverage from the rapper.
Alexis said: ‘After he was born, my attorney reached out to [Flo Rida] to inquire about support. Zohar needs to see doctors and especially being in New York City, it is expensive.’
Alexis said she demanded a paternity test as the rapper refused to acknowledge his son. ‘My attorneys reached out to his attorneys to establish paternity and it kind of was a game. We would set a date [for the test], it would get cancelled. Then another date was set and something came up. Finally, three months after Zohar was born, we took a test.’
A copy of the results proving Flo Rida was the baby’s father was released to the Jasmine Brand last April.
Although the rapper is covering his son’s medical insurance and provides an undisclosed amount of child support each month, Alexis’ legal battle with Flo Rida is ongoing because ‘she does not feel the support is enough for a special needs child’, according to her attorney
Alexis has no idea of Flo Rida’s reaction to the news he was a father as he was informed by his lawyers and has not contacted her.
In his early months, Zohar was on government programs for his healthcare needs as his father did not provide any coverage.
‘If it was up to Flo Rida, he would allow the government to take care of his son.’ Alexis said.
According to Adams’ attorney, Brian Robinson, Flo Rida began paying child support for his son around March 2017 – but they claim that the payments were an amount chosen by the rapper and ‘significantly less than the later provisional amount determined by the judge’.
The payments did not arrive on a regular basis, the lawyer claims. Flo Rida has covered Zohar’s healthcare since March 2017.
Alexis took the multimillionaire artist to court over the child support and medical coverage in April 2017. Both she and her attorney refused to disclose the financial amounts they were seeking.
According to her attorney, the case is ongoing but a provisional support grant, including healthcare payments, is made monthly by the rapper.
‘She does not feel the support is enough for a special needs child,’ Robinson told DailyMail.com, adding that the case has taken many months as ‘Dillard has vigorously fought each step of the way’.
Alexis said: ‘I’ve had to chase Flo for child support until a judgement was made.
‘He’s trying to bury me in legal fees and paperwork. To be honest, this could have been settled. My attorney reached out to them when I was pregnant.’

Alexis also claims that none of Flo Rida’s large family – the rapper has seven sisters – have tried to build a relationship with their nephew. Flo Rida is pictured performing in June 2017
Her attorney also addressed a 2012 federal criminal case against Adams where she was indicted for allegedly attempting to extort $200,000 from NBA coach Mark Jackson over naked photos he had sent her during their extra-marital affair while she was working as a stripper in New York.
The case against Adams was dismissed after she took a plea deal. Her co-defendant Marcus Shaw pleaded guilty to conspiracy.
Last year, Flo Rida said he was making $5,000 monthly payments to Adams and described her lawsuit as a ‘cash grab’, according to TMZ.
A source from Flo Rida’s camp said he was ‘blindsided’ by being taken to court and that the parents had agreed on the amount previously, a fact which Alexis disputes.
Alexis said that the saddest part of the situation is that the rapper is missing out.
‘Zohar is very loving, he kisses and hugs everybody. He’s a very happy baby and interactive with people, that’s one thing people notice when they meet him.
‘He is going on two and he doesn’t know his father and his father doesn’t know him. People still ask if Flo Rida knows he is his son because he has not acknowledged him.’
Alexis said that her son is not the only one who has Flo Rida as an absent father.
In 2013, model Natasha Georgette Williams sued the rapper for child support after a DNA test proved a 99.99 per cent result that he was her son’s father.
She also alleged that Flo Rida had offered to pay for her abortion.
‘Clearly Zohar’s not the only one and there’s a lot of things I can’t discuss but I’m sure the truth will come out,’ Alexis said.
DailyMail.com repeatedly reached out to representatives for Flo Rida but has received no response.
