Grinning Prince Andrew seen for first time after stepping down from Royal duties

Prince Andrew has been pictured for the first time after stepping down from Royal duties.

The Duke of York, 59, was snapped beaming at the wheel of his car after leaving his home in Windsor, Berkshire.

He released a statement yesterday confirming the Queen had "given her permission" for him to "step back from public duties for the foreseeable future".

It followed a catastrophic BBC interview over the weekend, in which Andrew was probed on his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Queen Elizabeth's second son, denies an allegation that he had sex with a 17-year-old girl procured for him by his friend Epstein.

The financier killed himself in a US prison back in August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Andrew gave a bizarre Pizza Express alibi to counter Virginia Roberts’ allegation, and his apparent lack of empathy for Epstein’s victims drew widespread criticism.
