San Antonio police are searching for a man who opened fire in a bar’s crowded parking lot — wounding eight — after a bouncer refused to let him inside late Friday.
No one died, and all the injured — five women and three men — were listed in stable condition Saturday, the Associated Press reported.
The gunman was part of a small group turned away from the nightspot Rebar because they were too drunk, Police Chief William McManus told reporters Saturday.
Someone in the group told the bouncer: “Don’t you know who I am? I’m a UFC fighter from California,” the police chief said.
One man went back to his car, pulled out a rifle and started shooting, McManus said.
The police chief didn’t believe the gunman posed any further risk to the area.
