Huge police presence at Tube station after reports of ‘stabbing on platform’

Police have descended on a London tube station following reports of a stabbing.

Witnesses reported a “fast response” following a suspected knife attack at West Ham station in east London.

Images circulating on social media show a several police vehicles pulled up outside the station.

And an ambulance can be seen as uniformed cops walk away from the entrance.

One witness said: "Someone just been stabbed at West Ham platform, station closed. Avoid station.



Another witness reported: "Big police incident at West Ham tube – trains not stopping, just went through and saw police with somebody handcuffed on the platform, and also vans outside the station."

British Transport Police and the London Ambulance Service have been contacted by Daily Star Online.

Transport for London (TfL) said on Twitter: "Jubilee line and DLR trains are not stopping at West Ham station due to a customer incident."
