Hunt for New York subway slasher as three knifed within 12 minutes – including one man stabbed in the face

A HUNT is underway for a New York subway slasher as three people were knifed within 12 minutes.

The attacks started at 4.25am on Friday morning, where a 44-year-old man was slashed in the face.

He was on a 4 subway at the 14 Street Union Square station when the attack happened and was quickly rushed to hospital in stable condition.

Just minutes later, a 40-year-old man was cut in the face at the Astor Place subway station and was also hospitalized.

The final attack came at 4.37am, where a 44-year-old man was slashed in the back of the head in a robbery of money. He was rushed to hospital.

The victims all sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are believed to be in stable condition.

Police believe that there is one suspect in the attacks. He is said to have been riding the 4 train with a second man.

No arrests have yet been made and the suspect is believed to still be at large.
