New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern ended a press conference after being repeatedly interrupted by hecklers trying to question her on Covid vaccines. Ms Ardern responded to the man’s questions saying she would only answer questions from “accredited” media. She then urged all other reporters to relocate inside as she apologised for cutting their meeting short.
In video footage shared on 1News, Jacinda Ardern is seen hosting a press conference.
She said: “We are completely on the same page when it comes to driving vaccinations and making sure that we’re doing everything that we can to reach people that we need to.”
Then a man who claimed to be a journalist kept interrupting the Prime Minister, asking her “why is the vaccine not working in Israel? And you are still pushing it”
Ms Ardern said: “Sir, I’m gonna answer the questions of the accredited media.

“Sir I will shut down the press conference if you do not cease.
“Sorry to our accredited members of the gallery here.
“We might move to an inside venue.
“Unfortunately, we’ve got someone who’s disrupting your press conference today, so we might reconvene. Thank you.”
While moving to an inside venue, Ms Ardern is then heard saying: “Sorry everyone. We might just try and go inside and then hold it there just so that we can have a bit more quiet space for you.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom.”
Jacinda Ardern had to halt a media conference after being interrupted by a journalist, who drew a comparison between Aukland’s approach to vaccination and Israel – pointing out Israel’s strategy “is not working.”
The Prime Minister then apologised to “accredited” media personnel for shutting down the conference.
In New Zealand, authorities are planning to seal off the northern tip with police orders as they enforce a lockdown in the region.
Part of the Northland region, which is 270 km from the biggest city of Auckland, is to begin a level 3 lockdown from midnight
It came after two covid cases that lacked a link to any known cases.
No vaccine currently on the market claims to be 100% effective at preventing transmission.
