US President Joe Biden has suffered yet another blunder when speaking to the American public. In his latest gaffe, President Biden bizarrely claimed that he has been in charge of the country for 15 months, instead of five. He told a press conference that January 2021 was “15 months ago” and did not correct himself.
However, a transcript of the speech later posted on the White House website did amend this phrase to five months.
President Biden made the remark when speaking at the COVID-19 Response and Vaccination programme in Washington DC on Wednesday.
He said: “Since January 20 – and we’re talking, now, about 15 months ago – the average daily cases are down from 184,000 to 19,000, below 20,000 for the first time since March of 2020.
“Average hospitalizations are down from 117,000 to 21,000. Death rates are down over 85 percent.”

Sky News Australia’s Digital Presenter Maddie Hale reported: “That is President Joe Biden there making yet another blunder while addressing his country.
“Biden mistakenly claimed he had been President of the US for 15 months when in fact it’s been about five.
“President Biden has been ridiculed since taking office for his blunders such as when he falsely claimed everyone in the US earning under $400,000 a year would not pay any taxes.”
It marks the second such blunder in just 72 hours for the US President.
Biden should ‘cancel’ meeting with Putin says research fellow
Just two days earlier President Biden said the wrong date for the Capitol riot, saying it happened on January 9 instead of January 6.
President Biden was also fact-checked on a repeated claim he has made that US hospital beds will be overwhelmed by Americans suffering from Alzheimer’s in 20 years time.
He said: “You know, if we don’t do something about Alzheimer’s in America, every single, solitary hospital bed that exists in America, every single one will be occupied in the next 20 years with an Alzheimer’s patient.”

They wrote that the warning appeared to be “plucked from thin air” with no factual basis.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed this week that the Queen will meet US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden next week.
The meeting at Windsor Castle on Sunday 13 June coincides with the end of Mr Biden’s visit to Britain for the G7 summit of leaders from the world’s biggest economies.
Mr Biden will be the 12th serving US president the Queen has met as monarch.
Mr and Mrs Biden previously sent their condolences to the Queen following the death of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, in April.
