A truck driver has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after police reportedly found a stash of World War Two weapons in his vehicle.
He was discovered with a number of weapons at a checkpoint, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Roads around the airport were immediately closed, although it was later reported that the man had been a World War Two enthusiast.
Alex Stone, a correspondent for ABC News, posted on Twitter: "All clear at LAX. Roadway being reopened. Police say it was a WWII enthusiast who had 2 guns and replica inert WWII items that caused concern at checkpoint."
An NBC News report claims that the items were movie props.
Bomb disposal teams were called to the scene at around 8.40am local time – 4.40pm in the UK.
As well as the firearms, police reportedly said they found "other suspicious things".
And Fox LA reporter Gigi Graciette tweeted: "LAX Airport police tell me that the bomb squad is clearing the area. Person stopped is a WWII enthusiast and collector and all weapons and miscellaneous military items were inert."
Dramatic aerial pictures show what appears to be a heap of weapons next to the vehicle.
No terminals are believed to have been evacuated or closed.
