Liam Gallagher has been questioned under caution after CCTV images surfaced showing him appearing to grab his girlfriend by the throat.

The 46-year-old singer was captured on CCTV footage apparently pushing Debbie Gwyther, 36, down a corridor and grabbing her by the throat, The Sun reports.

Detectives launched an investigation after the incident at a celebrity hotspot in London in the early hours of August 9.

Liam attended a police station by appointment on September 25, was read his constitutional rights and was quizzed on tape, according to the newspaper.

He denies assaulting his girlfriend and former PA.

Ms Gwyther, who has not filed a complaint, says the pair were ‘messing around.’

The singer was not arrested, but officers believe the CCTV images are ‘consistent with assault’ and are seeking evidence to build a case, according to The Sun.

The singer will be notified about whether any further action will be taken after police finish their enquiries.

Police are looking at the footage and speaking to staff at the nightclub.

After the incident, Liam was thrown out of the club – and was reportedly shouted: ‘She’s a witch. It was her fault.’
