A man immediately failed a job interview after the hiring manager posed as a receptionist to see how he would interact with a team member.
On the Life Pro Tips forum on Reddit, a woman warned people to treat everyone with respect after a candidate blew his interview in the first five minutes of being in the building.
She said the man, who had just walked in the door, was duped at reception where the hiring manager posed as the receptionist.
The woman said she greeted the man and he "barely made eye contact" and had "no interest in speaking with her" even though she had tried to be engaging.
She said: "Today, a candidate blew his interview in the first 5 minutes after he entered the building.
"He was dismissive to the receptionist. She greeted him and he barely made eye contact.
"She tried to engage him in conversation. Again, no eye contact, no interest in speaking with her.
"What the candidate did not realize was that the 'receptionist' was actually the hiring manager."
The hiring manager then told him to go to the conference room where she explained how "every single person" at the company is part of the team.
She then told him he wouldn't be a good fit for the job and thanked him for his time before ending the interview.
The woman wrote: "She called him back to the conference room and explained how every single person on our team is valuable and worthy of respect.

"Due to his interaction with the 'receptionist', the hiring manager did not feel he was a good fit. Thank you for your time but the interview is over.
"Be nice to everyone in the building."
Lots of people on Reddit agreed that it was essential to ensure you were polite to everyone.
