A man lost part of an arm and fractured a leg after being struck by an oncoming train in Brooklyn early Saturday, police told The Post.
The 50-year-old is clinging to life after he toppled onto the tracks, according to police and the MTA.
The victim, identified by family members and police sources as Lamont Powell of Brooklyn, had his right arm amputated and left leg broken in the mishap, police said.
The man was observed laying on the tracks at the Broadway Junction station in East New York around 1:30 a.m. when a northbound L train approached, an MTA spokeswoman said.
The operator placed the train in emergency mode — but was unable to stop it from rolling over the man, according to the spokeswoman.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
It’s unclear how the man ended up on the tracks but police said he was not the victim of a crime.
