Man shot, killed near Bronx County Courthouse

A 46-year old man was shot and killed in a car parked near the Bronx Criminal Courthouse Monday, according to police.

The unidentified victim was sitting in a Honda Accord at East 161st Street and Sherman Avenue when the gunman rolled up on a bicycle and opened fire on the driver through a window, before fleeing.

The wounded driver managed to roll several feet eastbound on East 161st Street before hitting a parked car and coming to a rest, according to sources.

Police found the driver unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the neck, before paramedics transported him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Cops are looking for the gunman – described only as a male in his 20s, wearing a black tank top.

The identity of the victim is pending family notification.
