Paedo who called himself 'Fat Boy' to target young victims jailed for setting up fake Facebook and Instagram accounts

A PAEDOPHILE who called himself "Fat Boy" and pestered girls as young as 13 for explicit selfies has been jailed after admitting to setting up fake Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Charles Declan Lindley, from Loftus in North Yorkshire, trawled Instagram and Facebook under a number of different pseudonyms.

After asking young girls for "sexy pics", he eventually had sex with a 15-year-old victim.

Lindley was jailed for three years last year after admitting to the crime.

He has now received a further jail sentence after he failed to comply with the sex offenders' register.

The 20-year-old pleaded guilty at Teeside Magistrate's Court to failing to tell authorities he had fake social media accounts.

On Instagram he called himself "Fat Boy 46", while he had a Facebook account under the name of Charlie Simpson.

The court heard how Lindley told police his Facebook account was no longer active but the force said it was still being updated by him.

Lindley also admitted to not telling police he had moved in with his mum in Barnsley.

Lindley was placed under a sexual risk order in 2015, which banned him from changing his address unless he informed police of his whereabouts.

He was arrested in October after the discovery of the fake social media accounts.

At last week's hearing, District Judge Martin Walker, jailed him for an additional three months each for the trio of fresh charges.

The sentences will run concurrent with his current three-year sentence.

But the 69-year-old has been selling kids’ toys from an indoor market stall for the past three years.

His stock includes cars, model planes and fancy dress hats.
