A classic car chase! Incredible police footage shows stolen 51-year-old Morris Minor speeding away and almost hitting another vehicle

This amazing dash cam footage shows a police patrol involved in a high speed car chase – with a stolen 51-year-old Morris Minor.

The vintage car can be seen swerving around traffic and narrowly avoiding another vehicle as the driver attempted to escape police.

It is not known whether the vehicle, who sped through Bradford, West Yorkshire, was caught and what happened to the driver.

The stolen Morris Minor drives up the road towards a crossing and avoids hitting other cars

As the red car speeds towards a junction it manages to swerve around a white car and smoothly avoid colliding with tow black vehicles which are coming down the road.

The Morris Minor then disappears around the corner as the police also turn onto the road.

The West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit tweeted the footage and said: ‘It’s not every day you have a pursuit with a 51-year-old stolen Morris Minor.

‘Fagley area of Bradford. Can anybody explain how it didn’t crash at this junction?’

The driver smoothly moves around a car coming from the other direction during its getaway

The red vintage car turns the corner, having smoothly avoided all obstacles, and disappears 

One Twitter user said: ‘Holy cow….. that was unreal. I cant believe they made it through there.

‘I hope the vehicle was returned to the clearly loving owner, unscathed…’

Another added: ‘Why would someone steal what is obviously the owners pride and joy?’

One user asked police if they had ‘got the Benny Hill theme tune to go with it?’.
