Police have locked down a train station in Kent after a man was reportedly seen waving a knife around on a platform.
Officers have been pictured at Faversham station this evening, with disruptions to services expected.
National Rail confirmed that trains are likely to be affected until 10.30pm.
The company posted online: “Police dealing with an incident at Faversham is causing disruption at this station. Trains may be delayed, cancelled or revised.”
Train company Southeastern later confirmed: “Trains can now call at #Faversham again as the police have dealt with the incident. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
“There may be some alterations whilst we work to return the service to normal.”
The Daily Star has approached Kent Police for comment.
