This is the shocking moment a speedy man runs straight through a glass door and it shatters around him.

CCTV footage at the Congress of Nuevo Leon in Mexico shows the man purposefully jogging up to the entrance.

But he runs straight into what he thinks is an open door, sending debris flying in all directions as he crashes through the glass.

The stunned employee sits motionless among the shards as concerned staff rush to see if he is alright.

Local media say the unfortunate man is Jose Juan Hernandez, a legal assistant for members of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

He did not suffer any serious injuries after the shocking accident.

Despite the mishap potentially causing serious damage, some commenters online were far from sympathetic.
