The bodies of three people were found at the bottom of a cliff at Beachy Head this afternoon, according to reports.
At roughly 3.30pm today emergency services were called to the famous chalk headland and the bodies were found.
Local reports say a search is underway for a fourth person.
A spokesman for Sussex Police told MirrorOnline that the force had been in the area all day and they were called to the area at 3.30pm.
The Eastbourne Herald have reported that police, coastguards and lifeboat crews have been involved in the ongoing incident.
More than 350,000 people visit the cliffs at Birling Gap and Seven Sisters each year.
Police have not said if there are any suspicious circumstances.
