Longtime Trump ally Roger Stone claimed on Monday that he’s in the crosshairs of special counsel Robert Mueller — and he needs money.
“Mueller seeks to criminalize normal political activities by Roger Stone,” read a statement on a fundraising website for Stone.
“His legal fees in this epic fight could top $2 million… Please help us.”
The website asks for donations of between $25 to $5,000, one-time or monthly.
Stone’s appeal for help comes less than a week after two high-profile Trump allies were found guilty of federal felonies.
Former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was convicted of tax and bank fraud.
Trump’s personal lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations — that the now-convicted attorney claims he did at the direction of Trump.
“Despite a lack of evidence of Russian Collusion, Wikileaks collaboration or any other illegal activity in the 2016 election, long time Trump advisor Roger Stone has been targeted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller,” the political trickster Stone pleaded.
“Roger Stone refuses to be pressured into testifying against President Trump.”
