UFC fighter’s stepdaughter reported missing, car recovered

The teen stepdaughter of a UFC fighter vanished last week — and now her abandoned car has been found damaged, police said.

Aniah Haley Blanchard, 19, was last seen Wednesday in Auburn, Ala., two days before her vehicle was found around 55 miles away, news station CBS32 reported.

Blanchard — who is the stepdaughter of UFC Heavyweight fighter Walt Harris — communicated with a pal just before midnight on Wednesday but hasn’t been heard from since, AL.com reported.

Her car was later found Friday at Park Place Apartments in Montgomery, where a local resident reported the damaged vehicle to law enforcement, according to Auburn Police Department.

“While the vehicle has been recovered, Blanchard has not been located,” Auburn police Capt. Lorenza Dorsey said in a statement. “The investigation continues regarding her disappearance.”

Her friend, Summer Whatley, said that it’s not like Blanchard to disappear without a word.

“This is not like her at all and I know the police are on it, and all I can say is I ask people to look and help search for her,” Whatley told news station WBMA.

Whatley took to social media on Thursday in search of her friend, claiming that Blanchard had plans to go on a date before she vanished.

“She was going to meet a guy named Eric she met from a dating app,” she wrote on Twitter.

It’s unclear whether authorities are aware of reports that Blanchard planned a date. Auburn Police didn’t respond to request for comment.
