A wife living a secret double life as a webcam girl was "beaten to death by an absinthe bottle by her husband".
Jeff West is accused of murdering his spouse Kat after his fingerprints found on the liquor bottle that prosecutors claim gave the fatal blow in the Calera, Alabama.
Kat was killed in January 2018. When he was being interrogated by police West claimed: "I would not hurt my wife".
The mum led a double life as an online adult model under the pseudonym 'Kitty Kat West'.
Shelby County Circuit Judge Bill Bostick ruled that messages sent between the pair will be admissible in court, which the prosecution claim reveal a volatile relationship.
John Robbins, West's attorney, had fought admitting the sexually charged messages between Kat and his client, claiming they only showed common marital arguments and served no purpose.
Prosecutors argue the messages showed clear signs of severe strain in the relationship.
In one message a few weeks before her death Kat accused her husband of "throwing away 14 years of marriage". Another reads: "I'm never doing this holiday again with you."

Mr Robbins said Kat asked her husband to take pictures of her in pink panties, high heels and the pink bra she was found wearing at the time of her death.
He argued the couple's relationship was in a good place.
Despite the sexually charged messages between the pair, prosecutors insist West murdered his wife by hitting her in the head with a bottle of absinthe.
She was found dead on their lawn from blunt force trauma, partially clothed and with a bottle next to her body.
Mr Robbins argued that Kat drunkenly fell the night she died, hitting her head and causing her fatal injuries while West was asleep.
He said he is unclear if his client will take the stand.
