A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon in Denver.
Investigators have arrested a 22-year-old Janet Juarez, who is being held for investigation of first-degree murder, according to a tweet from the Denver Police Department.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Denver Police responded to a shooting in the 4900 Block of Granby Street.
The shooting led to the death of an individual whose identity has not yet been released.

According to the probable cause statement, preliminary investigation suggests that Juarez and the victim had been married since December and had a child together.
Police interviewed three witnesses. One witness said they saw Juarez firing a handgun into a PT Cruiser. Another witness said that Juarez said she shot the victim because “he was trying to kidnap her and the baby and was trying to kill Janet,” according to the statement. The third witness said that Juarez said “she was fighting over a gun and that [the victim] was trying to kill her so she shot him.”
Juarez has been transported to the Denver City Jail for processing, according to the statement.
