The bodies of the 42-year-old woman and her son were discovered about 7am, sparking a police investigation.
According to The Mirror, the child was disabled.
Police have since confirmed they are investigating, but are not treating the deaths of the pair, from Maidstone, Kent, as suspicious.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "An investigation has been launched after the bodies of a woman and child were found at Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, by police and coastguards at around 7am on Monday.
"Although the identities have yet to be confirmed, they are believed to be a 42-year-old woman and her five-year-old son from Maidstone, Kent."
It is understood the pair fell yesterday but due to weather conditions, their bodies could not be recovered until this morning.
It comes after three bodies were found at the foot of the famous cliffs last week.
Police confirmed the deaths were not related.
