Woman finds snake hiding in her bath and shrieks in terror at top of her lungs

Terrifying footage of a woman screaming when she finds a snake in her bath left viewers swearing to "never shower again" when it was shared on social media.

In the clip, recorded in Baltimore, US, and uploaded on TikTok by user @trin.setter_, the panicked woman films the head of a snake, which is lurking next to the plug as the reptile occasionally flicks its tongue out.

Obviously freaked out, the woman turns on the tap and seems to think she can wash the unwelcome animal down the drain.

Instead, the snake decides it doesn't want to drown and suddenly darts out of the plug, showing its full size as the woman shrieks at the top of her lungs.

"So I found a snake in my basement bathroom, and then I ran upstairs and the water is still running as we speak," she said in the caption.

The video was watched just under 7 million times and left many viewers shuddering in terror, with thousands commenting about their own dislike of snakes.

One person wrote: "I felt the scream in my soul."

"That’s my worst fear either that or the toilet," said another shocked viewer.

A third viewer commented: "Do you understand how paranoid I’d be showering for the rest of my days."

"I’m not showering for the rest of my life," said another person in agreement.

Piers for PM? Have your say!

The Daily Star has projected an image of Piers Morgan onto the Houses of Parliament – and we’re asking you are we ready for #PMFORPM?

Last week the Daily Star jokingly asked the question on nobody’s lips: Would PM be a better PM than our current PM?

And it seems we may have inadvertently unleashed a monster. Shy and retiring Piers – no stranger to holding our politicians to account on Good Morning Britain – leapt on the idea.

His odds were slashed from 500/1 to just 20/1 in a single day.

So, are you Team Piers or Team Bozo? Take part in our survey!

Commenting with a Harry Potter joke, another user said: "I think it’s trying to tell you you’re a Slytherin."

In another video, the woman said she'd told her mum about the snake and a person had come around with a pole and killed it.

She said she had not been back in the bathroom ever since the snake got in.

This comes after a deadly snake was captured after getting "confused" and trying to mate with a garden hose.

Fortunately, snake catchers released it back into the wild for another chance at love.
