A bloke who won a glamorous mansion in a draw was forced to flee after he learned it could topple into the sea.

Glen Elmy from Walsall won Stealth House, a swanky £3m home in north Devon, in an October 2021 Omaze draw and quickly moved in, eager to start his new life of luxury.

He said at the time: "I'm totally gobsmacked, the only thing we've ever won before was £3 at a Bingo night on holiday.

But the foundry worker found out coastal erosion threatened to destroy the cliff his property was perched on and send it plummeting into the water below – so decided to abandon it just three days later, the Mail Online reports.

Neighbours who live nearby reckon the stunning home will be in the sea within five to ten years as a result of coastal erosion.

One source said: "I met the Mr Elmy when he was here for the publicity. He was apparently planning to stay for a week but left after three days and that was the last we saw of him.

"The corner of the house goes almost to the cliff edge, it's about two metres away from the edge."

Elmy has never returned to the house and it has now laid empty for close to two years.

Another neighbour chimed in: "I never see anybody going in or out since the win.
