    A huge police operation has been launched after a car in Swansea "entered the water". <\/p>\n

    Emergency services arrived at the scene at Swansea Marina today at around 10am, with images having emerged of bent metal railings where the vehicle is understood to have entered. <\/p>\n

    The incident is understood to be ongoing and it is not known whether anyone was inside the vehicle at the time.<\/p>\n

    It is believed that among the responders is an air ambulance, police divers and coastguard crews all working together on the scene. <\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    In a statement, the force said: "South Wales Police was called shortly after 10am this morning with a report of a car having gone into the water at Swansea Marina. Officers attended along with colleagues from other emergency services. More detail will follow as soon as available."<\/p>\n

    The Welsh Ambulance Service (Central and West) has confirmed that it was at the scene earlier today, but has since left. <\/p>\n

    A spokesperson for the organisation noted that one car was involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Maritime Quarter Residents Association Swansea noted that access to Swansea Marina is severely restricted. <\/p>\n

    In a statement on Facebook they said: "Access to the South Dock of the marina is severely restricted due to an ongoing serious incident."<\/p>\n

    The area is understood to ben cordoned off with police tape. <\/p>\n
