{"id":179706,"date":"2023-09-07T07:56:38","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T07:56:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotworldreport.com\/?p=179706"},"modified":"2023-09-07T07:56:38","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T07:56:38","slug":"huge-drone-explosion-erupts-near-russian-regional-war-command-hq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotworldreport.com\/world-news\/huge-drone-explosion-erupts-near-russian-regional-war-command-hq\/","title":{"rendered":"Huge drone explosion erupts near Russian regional war command HQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Huge drone explosion erupts near Russian regional war command HQ that has been visited by Putin<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shocking footage shows a giant fireball rising up over the city of Rostov\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A huge kamikaze drone explosion hit close to Vladimir Putin&#8217;s war command headquarters in Rostov-on-Don in the early hours of the morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shocking footage shows a giant fireball rising up over the city, which lies near Russian-occupied Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The explosion whipped up a savage blaze in the vicinity of the military HQ, which Putin is reported to have visited several times throughout the war.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Three buildings and several cars were damaged according to an initial assessment by Rostov region governor Vasily Golubev.<\/p>\n<p>The war command bunker is at the HQ of Russia&#8217;s Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don.<\/p>\n<p>It was here in June that slain Wagner warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin began his attempted coup against Putin&#8217;s regime, later staging a march towards Moscow.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/07\/75155475-12490603-image-m-2_1694069422142.jpg\" height=\"457\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Shocking footage shows a giant fireball rising up over the city, which lies near Russian-occupied Ukraine<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/07\/75155473-12490603-image-a-3_1694069433961.jpg\" height=\"797\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The explosion whipped up a savage blaze in the vicinity of the military HQ, which Putin is reported to have visited several times throughout the war<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/07\/75155477-12490603-image-a-4_1694069440030.jpg\" height=\"756\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The war command bunker is at the HQ of Russia &#8216;s Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don<\/p>\n<p>Residents expressed shock at the attack and 20 blocks of flats on Pushkinskaya Street were left without electricity.<\/p>\n<p>A state of emergency was declared in the centre of the city due to the kamikaze drone strike.<\/p>\n<p>Reports said 99 residents were given hot food and offered to leave their homes.<\/p>\n<p>As has become routine, Russian officials claimed a drone targeting in the city centre had been shot down, but it was unclear whether the drone managed to evade air defences.<\/p>\n<p>Another drone came down outside the city.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;At about 3am an air defence system went off in Rostov-on-Don,&#8217; said Golubev.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;An unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down. The consequences on the ground are being clarified.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Later he said: &#8216;At the site of the UAV crash\u2026 an emergency mode was introduced from 9am. 99 people live in these three blocks.
