Roxy Horner is a doting first-time mum in some new pictures at home with her baby daughter.

The birth of her and partner Jack Whitehall's little bundle was announced to the world on Wednesday, after the pair were pictured leaving hospital with a baby carrier a day prior.

"The love of my life," the 32 year old model captioned the first two public images of their child, while comedian and actor Jack, 35, wrote to his own Instagram followers: "Well this just happened! Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn't have even imagined.

"In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever. So excited to have started a family of my own. Having vowed I’d never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid.

"I also wore sketchers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full blown dad now."

Roxy has now shared three more candid photos of her happily snuggling her newborn in bed after the family returned home.

The model was open with fans throughout her pregnancy, with the third trimester causing a great deal of discomfort for Roxy – symphysis pubis dysfunction being the main issue.

Thanking her mum Lisa Rae for all the help she offered, Roxy previously shared: "Thank god for my mumma looking after me during this final trimester. I actually don't know what I would have done without her.

"Getting everything baby ready with SPD has not been easy but my mumma has really helped me get things organised this last week and I'm starting to feel a bit more at ease with that.

"Just can't wait to have baby girl here and not feel this way anymore, it really is excruciating to walk or move right but not long to go and apparently all symptoms of SPD go away once bubba arrives," she continued.

"I thought the first trimester was hard. Like the sickness, I was throwing up around eight times a day. I was throwing up every day up until about five or six months. And then I had this brief moment where I was like 'Oh! I actually feel OK again!' And now I literally don't remember the last time I slept. Like I'm not kidding, I really don't. So yeah, pregnancy is difficult for some people and I am very envious of those who enjoy their pregnancy."

"I have no idea why some people have enjoyable easy pregnancies and others struggle so much, but the end result is something beautiful so that's all that matters," caveated Roxy.

According to the NHS, this condition is "a collection of uncomfortable symptoms caused by a stiffness of your pelvic joints or the joints moving unevenly at either the back or front of your pelvis".

It affects up to one in five pregnant women and can be treated with physiotherapy.
