While almost everyone has woken up with an unsightly red bump on their face at some time or another,\u00a0 a leading GP has revealed why you should never pop a pimple.<\/p>\n
Dr Raj Arora, from Windsor, has shared why picking at an exploding spots can make your skin worse – and why you should use creams to tackle the blemish instead.<\/p>\n

This can help to dry the pimple out and reduce its appearance’.<\/p>\n Other over the counter creams she advised include ‘medicated creams or treatments that have salicylic acid in them,\u00a0a beta hydroxy acid [that] helps to unclog the pore and helps to treat and get rid of acne’.<\/p>\n Sporting a pair of bright blue scrubs, the doctor showed the camera some products whose formulations include the savvy skincare ingredients, before explaining ‘you can use it in toner or wash form’.<\/p>\n Despite the reliable hacks, the clinician did stress at the end of the video: ‘If you have a lot of breakouts and a pus-filled pimple you attempted to pop,\u00a0do go see your GP or skin doctor’.<\/p>\n She explained: ‘They’ll\u00a0give you a treatment plan to help get on top of your acne’.<\/p>\n
