Nobody should be publicly shamed.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Hunter and Tara &#8211; who first met when they were both seniors in high school and married in October 2022 &#8211; set off on their European tour in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of three months, they visited four countries and attended four competitions.<\/p>\n<p>In another TikTok, Hunter reveals how he got a new pair of leg sockets made while they were in Italy as they were much cheaper than in the US.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He said he paid &#8216;$6,100 in Italy vs $13,000 in the United States,&#8217; with his blades costing an &#8216;additional\u00a0$15,000 in either country.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Hunter was born with fibular hemimelia and had both legs amputated at age 11.<\/p>\n<p>Fibular hemimelia is a birth defect that results in the partial or total absence of the fibula.<\/p>\n<p>It is also associated with limb length discrepancy, foot deformities, and knee deformities.<\/p>\n<p>It is the most common form of lower limb deficiency present at birth, estimated to occur in one in 40,000 births &#8211; with former Paralympic Oscar Pistorius having the condition.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter was the first double-amputee to get a Division I track and field scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>On his Instagram profile he details his career choice in the bio section, explaining: &#8216;They said I&#8217;d never walk.
