Superstar Gwen Stefani<\/b> received the 2,764th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Thursday afternoon, October 19.<\/p>\n
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think, this girl right here from Orange County, would have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Stefani said in her acceptance speech. “It just doesn’t make sense to me.”<\/p>\n
Her husband and fellow star-holder Blake Shelton<\/b> was there to support his wife. The country superstar also served as a guest speaker during the event and reflected on the first time he met Stefani in 2014 on the set of “The Voice.”<\/p>\n
“It was clear to me that she was a mother, first and foremost, over anything else in the world. That was her number one job,” Shelton recounted.<\/p>\n
He added, “But today, it’s nice to see her honored for her side project, which is being one of the biggest stars in the world.”<\/p>\n
“Gwen Stefani is the pride and joy of California!” stated Ana Martinez<\/b>, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Not only is she an acclaimed singer\/songwriter and performer, Gwen is also a talented fashion designer and cosmetics mogul.”<\/p>\n
Other speakers at the function included record label executive Jimmy Iovine<\/b> and music pioneer Irving Azoff<\/b>.<\/p>\n
