They had been married for just 58 days.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the school board announced that they were investigating alleged conduct by Kraus after a parent reported her for sending illicit materials.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Kraus was arrested and charged with\u00a0two counts of lascivious acts with a child, three counts of dissemination of obscene material to a minor and third-degree sexual abuse.<\/p>\n<p>If convicted, the 24-year-old could face up to 33 years in prison.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/00\/77345837-12704843-image-a-27_1698972513563.jpg\" height=\"840\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Cassidy Kraus, 24, resigned from her job with IKM-Manning Schools on August 25, just three days before her husband filed for divorce just 58 days after they got married<\/p>\n<p>One of the charges alleges that Kraus\u00a0&#8216;perform[ed] sex acts with a person 14 years of age.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Kraus was alleged to have &#8216;fondled or touched&#8217; the genitals of multiple children.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s also accused of\u00a0&#8216;disseminat[ed] obscene material&#8217; to a student in 2022 and two more in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The local middle school employed Kraus as a reading teacher.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kraus was released from county jail after posting $10,000 bond on the morning following her arrest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/00\/77345841-12704843-image-a-28_1698972520600.jpg\" height=\"634\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Kraus was married just 58 days before her now ex-husband (pictured) filed for divorce\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/00\/77345849-12704843-image-a-29_1698972612542.jpg\" height=\"634\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>If convicted, the 24-year-old could face up to 33 years in prison<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/00\/77345847-12704843-image-a-30_1698972615295.jpg\" height=\"634\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Kraus was released from county jail after posting $10,000 bond on the morning following her arrest<\/p>\n<p>She attended school in the same district where she taught and allegedly committed these crimes, running on the track team. Kraus attended Iowa State University.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Her first appearance in court was Thursday.
