<\/p>\nA young woman has tragically passed away after fighting to "defy the odds". <\/p>\n
Jenna Wareing, 33, was the mother of Accrington Stanley FC footballer Sean McConville's three children. <\/p>\n
Liverpool Echo reports that, in September 2022, the mum from Mossley Hill in Liverpool found a suspicious lump in her breast and was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Despite undergoing gruelling bouts of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she was told in July 2023 the cancer had spread to her liver. <\/p>\n

Doctors said that, without treatment, she would have between four and six months to live. She sadly passed away on Friday morning (November 24). <\/p>\n
Accrington Stanley paid tribute to Jenna on social media. The club wrote: "We are all absolutely devastated to hear that the mother of Sean McConville\u2019s three children, Jenna, passed away this morning. <\/p>\n
"We ask people to respect Sean\u2019s privacy at this heart-breaking time and that of Jenna\u2019s family. Sean wants to spend his energy helping their children cope with their beautiful mum\u2019s death. Forever in our hearts Jenna."<\/p>\n
Jenna previously told the Liverpool Echo of how she wanted to "defy the odds" for her kids. She said: "I'm not going to let cancer control how I live my life. I want to do everything I possibly can to see my kids grow up."<\/p>\n
She also spoke about her gratitude for the Liverpool-based charity LARKS, the Marina Dalglish Appeal, which supports women living with breast cancer.<\/p>\n

She said: "You're around people who are in the same mental and emotional state as yourself. No matter what group you're in, there's that support there. They understand the effects of what treatment can do; they have that experience of how they feel, how they look.<\/p>\n
"Going to the support group at LARKS I met two of my closest friends who are like family. It's somewhere that every woman who faces breast cancer should go to, because it's so positive. All we do is laugh. It's not a group where you go and it's doom and gloom. It's wild and carefree and it shows you what true living is."<\/p>\n
Jenna's friends and family created a GoFundMe page after she was given her diagnosis to raise funds towards private care at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, with anything left over being placed in a trust fund for her three children. The page has more than \u00a313,500 in donations.<\/p>\n
