According to the NHS, dengue fever can't be spread from person to person and those infected with the disease don't always feel ill. If a patient is symptomatic, they may experience a high temperature, a severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, swollen glands, a blotchy rash made up of either flat or slightly raised spots. They may also feel or be sick.<\/p>\n
In extreme cases dengue patients may require hospital treatment. Severe dengue can cause additional symptoms including severe tummy pain, repeatedly being sick including throwing up blood, fast breathing, bleeding gums or nose, fatigue, restlessness and blood in stools.<\/p>\n
