I’m A Celeb viewers have claimed they’ve spotted tension between two stars – saying that one contestant could ‘lose his temper’ with another playful campmate.

Some on social media have been speculating that Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson could be getting a ‘bit too cheeky’ with boxer Tony Bellew.

The pair have developed an unlikely friendship as energetic Sam, 31, has been keen to get to know the sportsman, 41.

As Tony prepared for Saturday night’s challengeĀ Eaten Alive Sam was keen to chat to him and even started trying to box with him.Ā

Tony looked unimpressed as he told him: ‘not now’ before Sam – who has ADHD – continued to fake punch him until he played along.Ā

Some on social media have been speculating that Made In Chelsea ‘s Sam Thompson could be getting a ‘bit too cheeky’ with boxer Tony Bellew

The pair have developed an unlikely friendship as energetic Sam, 31, has been keen to get to know the sportsman, 41

Viewers have said they think the pair could fall out in the future as one wrote on X in reaction to the fake boxing moment: ‘If looks could kill’.

Another said: ‘He’s [Sam’s] so getting KO’d before the end of the series.’

A second put: ‘Tony’s face when Sam slapped him to get the mosquito yesterday at Kevs ice-cream van had me in stitches. Sam was VERY close to his first KO.’

A third said: ‘That Sam is getting a bit cheeky now with Tony.’

Another had a more positive spin on their friendship: ‘Obsessed with the Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew dynamic.’

A second penned: ‘He obviously doesn’t always find Sam too easy but he is doing everything he can to let Sam be Sam. I wish everybody could be this accommodating.’

A third said: ‘Get yourself someone who loves you as much as Sam Thompson loves Tony Bellew #imaceleb #imacelebrity.’

Another wrote: ‘I’d 100% watch the Tony Bellew & Sam Thompson Show. It needs to happen.’

While SamĀ has been open about his ADHD, it seems his boundless energy and affection was becoming too much for the Liverpudlian sports star as he was forced take a deep breath on Thursday’s episode.Ā

Tony looked close to an outburst after Sam slapped him on his face, seemingly out of the blue.Ā

Suddenly stopping his conversation to hit Tony on the forehead, Sam quickly explained he did it to defend him from a mosquito.

Holding up the dead insect on his hand, Sam said: ‘Swear on my life.’Ā

Before adding: ‘That was dangerous, could have got a punch.’Ā

In another moment, after the pair found out they had won the camp some Australian Tim Tam’s, Sam enthusiastically jumped into Tony’s arms as he clung on for dear life while kissing his cheek.Ā

Tony looked incredibly overwhelmed and viewers were quick to pick up on his feelings.Ā Ā

Fans were left in hysterics as they took to Twitter with many comparing the pair’s relationship to that between Shrek and Donkey.Ā

Referring to the slap, one wrote: ‘Arguably the best 10 seconds of TV in 2023 courtesy of Sam and Tony.’

Another added: ‘The further this series goes on, the more I feel like Sam and Tony are Shrek and Donkey’.Ā

A third commented: ‘THE MOSQUITO. THE SLAP. THEIR FACES. THIS IS THE BEST SCENE OF THE SHOW.’

A fourth quipped: ‘Sam smacking Tony in the face, and Tony in complete disbelief. Has absolutely made my night’.

After Tony was slapped by his campmate he was left wiping the mosquitos blood off his face as he took a long exhalation of breath.Ā

A viewer penned: ‘THE BLOOD ON TONYS FACE AFTER SAM SMACKED HIM. OH MY GOD’.Ā

Another wrote: ‘Omg Iā€™m so scared for Sam ! Ahahaha. As if he just climbed Tony Bellew like a tree!’Ā

While another commented: ‘So sam slapped tony bellew on his birthday?’

Sam opened up about his ADHDĀ during that same episode of I’m A Celeb.

He was diagnosed with ADHD and autism after undergoing tests in his Channel 4 documentary Is This ADHD? earlier this year.Ā

While speaking with campmates Marvin Humes and Josie Gibson, the TV personality said he is ‘not ashamed’ of his diagnosis.

Sam admitted he has ‘terrible time keeping’ and ‘gets quite selfish’ with friends and Love Island girlfriend Zara McDermott.Ā

Marvin asked Sam:Ā ‘How old were you when you were diagnosed with it?’

Sam replied: ‘Last year, mate. There’s loads of people who are actually like of a certain age who get diagnosed way later.

‘When the low bits happen it goes low. But then the highs are really high. My girlfriend Zara is so steady and it’s so good for me. When she’s going steady I’m going like that.

He continued: ‘My time keeping is terrible. I get quite selfish, not just with her, with everyone, my mates or whatever.Ā

‘My listening to Zaraā€¦ I’m just finding myself staring off at something completely different. You sort of feel like you’re a bit of a k*** sometimes.’

Josie said: ‘But you would not be Sam without it.’

Marvin added: ‘I would just always say you’ve got loads of energy. Your energy is crazy bro and it’s what makes you great.’

Sam said: ‘Weird no one spotted it beforehand at school, but if you look at all of my report cards, every single one says the same, it says: “Likeable enough guy, but lacks focus”.Ā

‘It’s staring at you in the face. If I’d known as a kid, not much would have changed, but how you feel about yourself probably changes.Ā

‘I remember crying into my textbook because I couldn’t understand the words going into my head. You want to do good. You don’t want to be mischievous or anything like that.’

Sam went on to say he would like to become a dad one day but needs to ‘get a handle’ on his ADHD.

He said: ‘I want to be a dad at some point. That’s another thing, we’ve got to get a handle on it. You’ve got to look after a child.’

JLS singer Marvin, whoĀ shares three children, Alaia-Mai, 10, and Valentina Raine, six, and three-year-old son Blake, with wife Rochelle Humes, said: ‘You would be the most incredible dad.’

Sam said: ‘What you’re doing now, sitting down, having an honest conversation, being able to listen, adviseā€¦’

Marvin advised: ‘Trust me, all my kids care about is giving them attention, being with them in the moment, loving them, cuddling them, they just want to have all of you and to be as fun as possible and feel loved.’

Marvin added: ‘I can’t imagine doing this without you being here and you being as much fun as what we’ve had.’

While Sam has been open about his ADHD , it seems his boundless energy and affection was becoming too much for the Liverpudlian sports star as he was forced take a deep breath on Thursday’s episodeĀ

Tony looked close to an outburst after Sam slapped him on his face, seemingly out of the blue after he saw a mosquitoĀ

Josie agreed: ‘Yeah, no way!’

Later, the radio presenterĀ admitted in the Bush Telegraph that he felt like he ‘sucked at everything’ before he was diagnosed.Ā

He said: ‘I’m not ashamed of having ADHD in any way. But I know that I would have felt better about myself at school if I’d been diagnosed with it at a younger age. I really was just like, “I just suck at everything”.Ā

‘Big Marv, he’s a really thoughtful bloke and such a great listener. He’s just a really good guy.’
