An endless of circuit of thrilling rides, many long-awaited hugs from various Disney favourites, and spellbinding views of the iconic pink castle – Disneyland Paris is understandably on almost every child’s bucket list.
But, for the parents of children who dream of visiting the enchanted entertainment resort, a trip to Disneyland takes careful and considerate planning.
In a bid to avoid exhaustion, tantrums and several run-ins at overpriced gift shops scattered across the parks, mothers and fathers must go above and beyond to ensure that magical memories are made for the all of the family.
But, not to fear! A seasoned globe trotter, who has frequented the park, has offered advice to those who are preparing to take their little ones to Disneyland Paris.
Lala, a self-proclaimed ‘digital nomad,’ is a travel influencer on TikTok, often sharing ‘How To’ videos with her almost 600 following of trips to Turkey, Dubai and The Netherlands.

In one video, uploaded to the video-sharing app in August 2022, the content creator – also known as @fulltimetraveler – highlighted ‘six mistakes people make’ when visiting Disneyland Paris.
Showing footage of moments from her own trip to the multiple theme parks, Lala listed the first mistake some parents may make when taking a child under a particular age.
She stated in a voiceover: ‘One: Taking kids under the age of seven. They just really don’t have the endurance for a Disney park.’
‘Two: Not downloading the Disneyland Paris App. It will help you plan and map out your day and it has an interactive map that you can use via the parks’ WiFi once you’re there.’
Lala then stated that although a detailed schedule is not necessary, some form of planning will make the day run smoother.
She continued: ‘Three: Not planning your trip. You don’t have to have a detailed schedule, but it would be a good idea to know exactly what you really want to do and see.
Four: Taking the shuttle to instead of the Metro to the park. It’s cheaper and you’ll get dropped off closer to the entrance.’
Moving onto planning for food and beverage options, the travel enthusiast said: ‘Five: Not making reservations for the restaurants at the park.
Some of the advice issued by Lala is to download the Disneyland Paris app, make reservations for the particularly busy restaurants and taking the shuttle instead of the Metro to the park
‘They get packed – and, trust me, even I was just there as one person and I couldn’t get into the two best restuarants at the park.’
Concluding the sixth ‘mistake’ that Lala personally made, the globetrotter said: ‘Number six – this one is personal. Missing the shuttle.
‘If you do take the shuttle to the park – don’t be late for your shuttle home. They do leave promptly.’
Over 200 comments were left from a plethora of parents, with some agreeing with Lala’s ‘children under seven’ advice, while others were sceptical, claiming that their own children thoroughly enjoyed the trip despite being of a much younger age.
Agreeing with Lala, one person wrote, ‘Thank you for the #1. Disneyland is not for little kids,’ while another said, ‘Said it once and I’ll say it again Disney isn’t for kids.’

Opposing the first of Lala’s warnings, one individual wrote, ‘Disneyland is for kids tho,’ while another said, ‘Think it’s about making magical memories as a family – age doesn’t matter.’
One former child visitor spoke fondly of their own experience, writing: ‘My parents took me at aged 4 and I still remember it, It was amazing.’
Another said: ‘Just took my boys at ages 6 & 4, so definitely recommend taking under 7. They understood and had more endurance than I did!’
A final commenter, a parent to young children wrote: ‘I’ve been taking my kids to Disney as early as 9 months old… It’s always magical if they don’t remember it I know I will.’
In September, a Canadian father revealed the eyewatering cost of visiting Disneyland as he slammed the theme park as a ‘money grabbing machine.’
Dad-of-two Mario Zelaya described how he took a trip to Paris with his wife and two boys and spent $1,200 just on tickets for his family as he advised people to avoid Disneyland.
