Brian May took to Instagram to inform his 3.2 million followers that he had been feeling worse for wear during Queen and Adam Lambert’s tour of the United States.
The guitarist, 76, filmed himself from a hotel in Chicago and penned the caption: “Yes ! I look racked out !!! That’s the reality behind the glam ! Ha ha ! I was fighting a bad cold throughout the Chicago shows … but hopefully nobody noticed?
“And … I’m fine – still ready to rock plenty more. What saved me was ….. exercise ! Static biking is the greatest mobiliser for me … plus the hot and cold showers … and occasionally getting some sleep!
“I feel I’m finding some better notes in the last couple of shows. Other than that …. Lots to say … I wish I were saying it … but last night in the show when I haltingly spoke up for Peace, I felt the room was with me. Thanks Chicago folks … love ya. Bri.” (sic)
In the clip, Brian admitted that Queen’s current gigs could be the last time he tours in America.

He admitted: “So, if I never tour the States again – which might be the case – I would miss this view of Chicago, Hancock Tower, Lake Michigan. I’ve been coming to this hotel for many years and, yeah, I would miss it.”
Many fans were left baffled by Brian’s post and exclaimed that he looked “great” despite his health woes.
Ronnie said: “You don’t look racked out!! You look great as usual, I wish I looked that good after exercising hahah.” (sic)

Val added: “Racked out? Sir, I’m not disputing how you might feel, but you definitely look anything but racked out, on the contrary, I’d say you look as gorgeous as ever!”
And Suzi echoed: “Would never have guessed you weren’t feeling 100 percent at the Chicago shows, because you definitely gave us 100 percent! The shows were amazing. Hope you are feeling better and safe travels to Dallas. And I really hope this wasn’t your last trip to our city.”
The rockers will now play two dates in Dallas before travelling to Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
In 2024, they will take their tour to Japan beginning on February 4.
